My mom always tells me how much I loved dresses when I was little. In fact, the amount of times she tells me is comparable to the amount of times it has rained in the Amazon (...and in case someone out there doesn't know what the Amazon is, it's a rainforest...emphasis on the RAIN). Now don't get me wrong, I love hearing about how I acted as a child, but there's only so much one person can take...especially during their senior year of high school when the amount of baby pictures surfacing is unimaginable. Anyway, the topic of my first entry is inevitably HIGH SCHOOL IN GENERAL. Now just to give you a quick look into my everyday life as a high school student I will tell you that I attend school Monday-Friday (well duhh...) wake up at 5:50 am (Oh my freaking god) and have braved classes such as AP Calculus, AP Biology, AP English, and the ever so dreaded elective, Info Processing.
Now today was typically more eventful than normal. We just got back from Easter break and the temperatures outside have finally become quite tolerable. After months of a dark and freezing winter it was nice to not have goose bumps every three seconds of the day. In anticipation (and relating back to my childhood love) I wore a cute little leopard print dress, which I paired with sandals, a black cardigan, and belt (oh and of course my faux pearl earrings). To give you another perspective of the happiness that warm weather in the Poconos can bring, there we seven other girls wearing dresses in my first period (only one of whom I have ever seen wearing a dress in school before). All smiles, I sat with them in Sociology, unaware of the two unfortunate situations that were waiting for me during my mere ten minute announcement period.
The bell rang for announcements and I sat, as I usually do, bored with school and the ever so long moment of silence we endure everyday (which might I add loses it's meaning when we do it...every single day...) I then went with a friend, who shall remain nameless for her protection, to deliver papers to some students in other classes. My friend, being one of the seven girls wearing a dress to school, and I walked down the quarter of a mile long hall way to our old Calculus teacher's room. There...we entered in anticipation of what we thought would be a pleasant visit to an old teacher and with no idea that we were about to feel violated. Now don't get me wrong, this was in no way sexual harassment (well...i don't think so) but it was entirely unnecessary. Of course, what I am referring to is the three (GROSS) guys who whistled at us (in our dresses) and made degrading remarks about our girlish ways...(RUDE)
In an attempt to escape the repulsing murmurs of our classmates we then went to a teacher's room who we have trusted for a while to put our bags down. In our dresses (which might I add were completely school appropriate) we entered the class room of doom; that which develops it's name from the presence of what I like to call the "Big and Bitter" co-teacher. She who must not be named...immediately noticed my outfit and said, "Young lady you better get out of here fast because your skirt is too short! Leave before I write you up." Now first of all...it is clear that skirts are not the same as dresses so I don't know what thesaurus she was using...and second of all if she had any intention of maintaining some sort of authority she probably should have written me up in the end. Of course, my friends and I have come to the conclusion that those insane words only came out of her mouth because she's jealous that she can't rock the leopard print like I can. I mean they don't call her BIG and Bitter for nothing...
Kisses, Sarah

Oh Smargey! That sounds super gross, and you should probably punch those boys in the face next time. I wish I had come up with fun nicknames for my teachers in high school. Well, I did I guess, but they weren't very imaginative...
